1.Make patterns for the dress: bodice front and back, and the sleeves, and also a template for the armhole as instructed.rnrn2.For the skirt cut out the fabric to the following measurements. For the skirt front, cut one rectangle 25.5 x 46 cmrnrn10 x 18 inches, and for the skirt back cut two rectangles 25-5 x 23 cm10 xrnrn9 inches each.rnrn3.Place the armhole template on one corner of the skirt front; mark and cut out the armhole. Repeat for the other side, turning the template over. Do the same for the backs, cutting one armhole only on each section, turning the template over, as before. Run two rows I of gathering stitches across the top end I of each skirt piece, stopping at the armholes.rnrn4.Fold the remaining fabric in half right sides together, cut out two sleeves, two bodice fronts and four bodice backs for :rnthe self-lined bodice. Prepare the bodice and the bodice lining by joining the front to the backs at the shoulders on each one.rnrn5.Place the two bodices right sides together, pin and stitch along the neckline and the center back seams only Figure 10. Turn right side out, and press. This makes a neat neckline, without having to fold fiddly edges.rn
